As a professional artist, I have a daily painting practice and work from my home studio. My preferred medium is acrylics, and I specialize in creating semi-realistic pieces that tell compelling stories. My goal is to evoke positive emotions and provide a sense of escape through my artwork. I believe full heartedly that mere color can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways...

I owned and managed a portrait framing business for 14 years. This venture of my life started from the front portal of my home and grew into a thriving enterprise. I loved the idea of working from home and at the same time be there to attend to my children's needs. I sold the business in 2017 and relocated to Bloemfontein, the Free State of South Africa, where I create and paint full-time from my cozy, humble little studio at home.
Childhood years in the Northern Cape
Growing up in a boarding school from grade 1 to 12, I spent most of my weekends and holidays on a farm between Kathu and Kuruman. I absolutely loved the open spaces and the afternoon rides to the cribs. It was a truly unforgettable experience that has shaped who I am today.
My Inspiration
Growing up with an artistic mother was a true blessing. I was always in awe of her portrait paintings and her dedication to her craft. Watching her work tirelessly and pay attention to every detail was truly inspiring. I even had the opportunity to assist her at fairs with portrait painting and other tasks, which was an unforgettable experience.
